Walt Holifield - President - Holifield Engineering, Inc. - McComb, MS

Dear Thermwood:

Since 1995, Holifield Engineering has specialized in creating complex 3D molds for customers with tight time constraints. In regards to my success, the 5 Axis Thermwood Model 67 has been one of my better business decisions. It has allowed me to competitively participate in an extremely varied and demanding rapid tooling and pattern mold market. The machine does not complain, have personal problems, or is (very important to me) impatient. It will wait indefinitely, without a peep, without charging me extra to stand still, while I work out technical issues. It will work 24 hours straight, all night long, to machine a mold surface that has to go out the next day, without charging me overtime. It does exactly what it is told to do to the best of its ability - every time. While I could do what I do by hand, having the ability to add all the little precision features, alignment marks, notches, etc. to a mold that assist in assembly and part fabrication is crucial. While it is not the cheapest, nor is it the perfect way to fabricate a mold, when schedule is limited and precision needed, a Thermwood Model 67 coupled with ability to CNC program is very hard to beat.

I would be glad to discuss the pros and cons of CNC machine tools at holifieldeng@i-55.com. I intentionally do not have a web site.

Sincerely,

Walt Holifield, President
