PLASTIC TRIMMING - PATTERNS - MOLDS - NON-FERROUS METALS
Heavy-duty, high-speed trimming and pattern machining, available in single or dual moving aluminum tables
The Model 90 is a high-speed, heavy-duty 5-axis CNC router engineered for trimming, patterns, molds, and machining non-ferrous metals.
A heavy-duty gantry and base provide the rigidity and stability needed for high-speed machining of tough materials like aluminum and composites.
The powerful 5-axis head allows for full contouring and trimming of complex shapes, making it ideal for aerospace and automotive applications.
Optional dual moving tables create a non-stop production environment, virtually eliminating downtime for loading and unloading parts.
Heavy-duty, high-speed trimming and pattern machining, available in single or dual moving aluminum tables.
Available Table Sizes:
Single Table - 5'x5', 5'x10', 10'x5'
Dual Tables - 5'x5', 5'x10', and 5'x12'
The Thermwood Model 90 is a heavy-duty, high-speed five-axis CNC router designed for trimming and pattern machining of plastics, composites, carbon fiber, molds, patterns, and non-ferrous metals. It is widely used in aerospace, automotive, medical, and composite fabrication applications.
The Model 90 is available in single table configurations of 5'x5', 5'x10', and 10'x5', and dual table configurations of 5'x5', 5'x10', and 5'x12'. All configurations feature moving solid aluminum vacuum tables.
The Model 90 comes standard with a 12 HP 24,000 RPM router with a 4 position automatic tool changing system. An optional 16 HP 24,000 RPM router with a 4 position bar style automatic tool changer is also available for more demanding machining applications.
The Model 90 comes standard with a 1 inch thick solid aluminum vacuum table for secure workholding. An optional 1/2 inch thick multi-function vacuum table is also available for applications requiring a lower profile or pod-and-rail style fixturing.
The Thermwood Model 90 offers an optional extended Z axis of up to 60 inches, providing additional clearance for machining tall three dimensional composite parts, molds, and complex aerospace and automotive components.
Yes. The Model 90 is available with optional dual moving aluminum tables in 5'x5', 5'x10', and 5'x12' configurations. The dual table setup allows operators to load and unload one table while the machine continues working on the other, virtually eliminating downtime and maximizing production throughput.
The Model 90 is used across industries requiring high-speed precision five-axis machining including aerospace, automotive, composite fabrication, medical device manufacturing, plastic trimming, marine, military and defense, and three dimensional pattern and mold making.
